This property was completely gutted from top to bottom, extended over 3 storeys at the rear (which included quite a battle with RBKC and the adjoining party wall surveyors). TThe property was fitted-out to a very particular traditional Italian style by the Clients own interior designer, often using things such as 45mm thick solid oak parquet block flooring which was reclaimed from an old flooded concert hall and needed to be cleaned, treated and planed prior to installation, you can still see the original water marking. The insides of the property were entirely remodelled leaving only the exisiting staircase in place which itself had to have new spindles and a brand new continuous hardwood handrail installed as the lower ground floor was not accessible from the main house and only via the lightwell or rear garden.
